Ancient City of Syedra
Located east of Alanya, the ancient city of Syedra is one of the most notable historical attractions in the Alanya area, featuring a colonnaded street, bathhouses, cisterns, and views of the Mediterranean Sea.

About
The ancient city of Syedra is one of the most significant archaeological sites in the Alanya area. Since the city’s ruins are spread across a high plateau, visitors are treated not only to historical structures but also to breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.
One of the ancient city’s most striking features is its colonnaded street, approximately 250 meters long. The city also features the remains of a large bathhouse, a gymnasium, cisterns, olive-processing workshops, and various other historical structures. The Sarnıç Cave, fed by a natural spring, and the nearby Baptism Cave are also among Syedra’s notable features.
Syedra is an alternative destination to the classic tourist routes in central Alanya, particularly for visitors interested in history, archaeology, and photography.
