Konaklı Beach is the stretch of coastline along the Mediterranean Sea in the Konaklı neighborhood, located west of Alanya. Home to tourist facilities and residential areas, Konaklı is one of the areas worth considering for visitors looking to explore the western beaches outside of central Alanya.
Konaklı Beach
One of the key features of Konaklı Beach is the comprehensive coastal development project carried out in collaboration with the neighboring Payallar and Türkler neighborhoods. The project, completed by the Alanya Municipality, covers approximately 4 kilometers of coastline.
As part of the project, a bike path, a green walking trail, rest areas, viewing terraces, and social spaces were created along the coast. Therefore, a visit to Konaklı need not be limited to just swimming; it can be combined with a coastal walk or a bike ride.
Sea and Beach Experience
Konaklı Beach features a long coastline open to the Mediterranean Sea. Since the coastal terrain and access to the water may vary in different sections of the beach, it would be inaccurate to describe the entire beach as having a single type of terrain.
Before entering the water, it is advisable to check the shoreline conditions at your current location, the daily wave conditions, and any lifeguard or safety warnings that may be in effect.
Walking and Biking
One of Konaklı’s standout features in our guide is the recreational area created along the coast.
The Konaklı–Payallar–Türkler project, completed by the municipality, includes a 4-kilometer bike path. Additionally, a 1,440-meter green walking path, rest terraces, fitness areas, benches, and tree-lined sections have been created.
Thanks to this development, walking or biking along the coast—especially during sunrise and sunset—can now be added to the list of activities available in Konaklı.
Social Gathering Areas
The coastal project covers a total area of approximately 58,000 square meters. Municipal records indicate that the project includes social spaces such as children’s play areas, fitness areas, picnic and rest areas, cafeterias, and beach volleyball and basketball courts.
For this reason, the Konaklı beach can be enjoyed not only for swimming during the summer months but also by visitors who simply wish to spend time along the shore.
What Can You Do in Konaklı?
After swimming in the sea during your visit to Konaklı, you can take a walk along the beach or use the bike path. Visitors planning a longer trip can include Konaklı in the same Western Alanya route that includes Payallar, Türkler, Avsallar, and İncekum.
