Providing information about the work during the site visit, Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik noted that road construction in rural areas is proceeding according to plan, stating, “We are leaving no area in our city without work. Our projects are continuing without interruption, just as we promised and in line with our plan. “We have completed our infrastructure, road, and roadside embankment improvement projects. Our asphalt paving work is ongoing,” he said. Noting that the work in the region is being carried out in three phases, Mayor Özçelik said, “The work is being done in three sections. The first phase is complete, the second phase is ongoing. Following that, we will begin the third phase. Each phase is over 8 kilometers long. In total, our project in this region spans approximately 25 kilometers,” he said. Mayor Özçelik noted that asphalt paving will begin in the Aliefendi, Türkler, and Çamlıca neighborhoods following the completion of these works, adding that preparations in those areas have been finalized. Mayor Özçelik said, “Our work for the Aliefendi, Türkler, and Çamlıca neighborhoods will take place next. Asphalt preparation there has also been completed. We are working without a moment’s pause,” he said.
Emphasizing that Alanya Municipality crews are carrying out their work with great dedication, Mayor Özçelik said, “Our colleagues here are doing a great job. May God be pleased with them. Our colleagues are truly working with great dedication.” Noting that the work is not limited to rural areas, Mayor Özçelik stated that road construction throughout the city is proceeding simultaneously, saying, “At the same time, our work in the city center is continuing. Preparations are ongoing in Uzunöz, and they have been completed in Üzümlü. Asphalt work is ongoing in Hacıkerimler. Work will also be carried out one after another in Kayabaşı and Yeniköy,” he said. Noting that Alanya Municipality’s use of its own production capabilities in road construction is crucial in terms of quality and durability, Mayor Özçelik stated, “We’re carrying out this work ourselves. Since we produce the materials ourselves, the work is high-quality and will last for many years.”
Hüseyin Musluoğlu, the head of the Uğrak neighborhood, also thanked Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik and municipal staff during a site inspection. Musluoğlu expressed his satisfaction with the road construction projects that will facilitate transportation in rural neighborhoods, noting that it was important for them that Mayor Özçelik, along with Deputy Mayor Murat Levent Koçak and municipal teams, were closely monitoring the work. Musluoğlu added that the projects are of great importance for Alanya’s rural areas.
