About

The Alanya Atatürk House Museum is one of the city’s important cultural and historical landmarks, preserving the memory of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s visit to Alanya.

Atatürk visited Alanya on February 18, 1935, and during his visit, he stayed in the house that is now used as a museum. In subsequent years, the building was converted into a museum and opened to visitors.

The museum houses photographs and documents related to Atatürk’s visit to Alanya, as well as various artifacts reflecting daily life during that period. The fact that the building retains the characteristics of a traditional Alanya house also makes the museum valuable not only from the perspective of Atatürk’s history but also in terms of local architecture and urban culture.

In the museum’s exhibits, visitors can see furniture, household items, and various ethnographic artifacts representative of traditional Alanya life.

For this reason, the Atatürk House Museum offers visitors the opportunity to experience both an important memento of the history of the Republic and a glimpse into the domestic life of Alanya in the past, all within the same building.
